During Confirmation Year I, the students will meet every Wednesday from 7:00pm-8:15pm, from September through April. The first year of the Confirmation process usually correlates with the first year of High School. It is open to all High School Students looking to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

 

Lessons will be based on Ascension Press’ Chosen Program, which includes basic Catholic knowledge, the Church’s teaching of the Sacraments, and the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit which will support our young people in the adult stages of their Catholic life. The program is made of a blending of media resources including DVD’s, workbooks and guest speakers.  Lesson planning and input is also born of the creativity of the Confirmation I & II Catechist team. 

 

Students must also participate in 15 hours of community service, and attend a youth retreat as part of the requirements for the year.
